Strategic Director
Etienne Fang is a strategic director in the Cultural Insights Studio and brings a background in design and social science to Cheskin. Prior to joining Cheskin, Etienne was a strategic lead at Studio Red, where she led project teams in research, design and implementation for innovation initiatives for clients such as The Coca-Cola Company in China, Japan and North America. As a designer at Rockwell Group, Etienne created multi-sensory brand experiences for Gap Inc.’s Forth & Towne brand, Meijer, DeVos Children’s Hospital, Robin Hood Foundation and Mills Corporation. In addition, Etienne pioneered video ethnography techniques as an educator in New York City’s public schools.
Etienne earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and photography and a Master of Science in Education from Sarah Lawrence College. She has studied at Beijing University and Parsons School of Design. Etienne is a native Mandarin speaker and is fluent in French.
