My First Post

After 8 months at Cheskin, today is the first day that I’m not staffed on a project. So it’s a good day to blog and to reflect on my experiences to date.

Cheskin is a very interesting place. The more I learn about our projects and our people, the more curious and engaged I become. There is a huge talent pool here, in terms of both research and life experiences.

What strikes me most is that there’s a true and deep sense of engagement with our clients and with the work we do – no matter what the questions, the industry, or the location.

Since I started, I’ve researched topics such as global software packaging, social networking on e-commerce sites, the market for reading glasses, why people donate money to charity, and how to create an entirely new consumer product line. My projects have taken me around the United States, and to Europe and Asia as well. Working here is like getting random birthday gifts – you don’t always know what project you’ll be on, but it’s going to be good.

Before I came to Cheskin, I was a consultant. Now I’m surrounded by people who have that same desire to ask questions, to analyze, to synthesize, to create and to delight clients. I’m looking forward to spending more time with them.
